Garage Screens

Will my garage door close with the screen up?

Yes. The garage screen is mounted on the outside of the door at the top of the garage opening.

How is the screen hung up?

We customize a roller system for your garage screen that easily works with the pull of a chain, or you can simply use hooks that screw into the top of the inside door frame.  We include everything needed to hang your screen.

How long will it take to install my garage screen?

Install time can be from 15 min to 45 min. Once installed, “take down” is quick and easy as well as putting the screen back up for use.

Can the screen be left up?

Yes. The garage screen is meant to stay up during the season and is easily taken down for the winter months.

How do you clean the screen?

It’s very easy, just spray down with your water hose. You can also use a mild soap/water mix if your garage screen is extra dirty and dusty. Put some water in a bucket (or whatever you have) and add a few drops of dish soap. You want just enough soap to make some bubbles, then simply use a sponge to wipe down your screen and rinse as you go along.  Do not use harsh chemicals or soaps like bleach or strong concentrated soaps.

You listed standard garage sizes. Do I still have to measure my garage door opening?

Yes. We suggest hanging our screens on the inside of the door frame.  To ensure a good fit it’s always good to look and measure for yourself.

Through the years standard garage sizes have changed in order to accommodate larger vehicles. So depending when your house was built there maybe some differences.  There may also be a few additional measurements needed depending on your garage opening. Click here to check out help pages.

If your measurements are off from our standard sizes, no worries, we don’t charge for slight changes. Please feel free to contact us if you have any questions.

Do you do custom orders?

Absolutely!  We love doing custom work. Let us know the size of your garage door opening and what you have in mind for an image. We work with you every step of the way to bring your ideas to reality and get the best results possible. Depending on the project, there is a small design fee.

Can I use one of your existing images and customize it?

Yes. Just let us know what image you would like to use and what you would like to do such as: convert to black and white, add text, add a picture, etc.

Most of our screens allow for a line of text at no charge. Depending on the request, there may be a design fee.

Can I preview what my screen will look like?

Of course. We always get final approval before your screen goes to print.

We even offer a virtual mock-up option. Send us a digital picture of the front of the house with the garage and we will create a mock-up what your screen will look like. There is a $10 fee for each virtual mock-up. On final approval and payment well will credit you up to $15 in virtual mock-up fees. Custom orders include up to three (3) virtual mock-ups and $10 per mock-up after.

Is it difficult to see out from the inside?

Not at all. You can see everything that’s going on outside and the best part is, that people can’t see you or anything in the garage.  The only catch is, the lights need to be off in the garage. Check out the pictures below.
